The Location module allows you to define typical design cross sections (templates). A default template is created with each design. This default can be modified and additional templates can be created or modified (see Template Editor dialog).
The following items are configurable in the template:
Road
Width left and width right of the subgrade, crown slopes, surfacing layers depth, daylighting distance and fill angle.
Ditches
Depth, width, inclusion/exclusion/autocalc logic, slope (this can also be automatically calculated from ground type).
Slopes
Angles left and right (specified explicitly or calculated from ground type), benching angle(s) and distances.
You may "assign" templates to intervals along the alignment (see Template Assignments dialog). Unless otherwise specified, the Location module will assign the default template to the entire road.
