Create New Column dialog

The Create New Column dialog allows you to add extra attribute data columns. These columns can store any attributes you wish to associate with the Traverse records.

This dialog box is accessed from the Traverse Window Columns dialog by pressing the New Column button.

Column Name

Enter a unique name for your new column. Column names must be less than 15 characters in length, and must not have commas.

Column Description

The description is optional and will appear in other dialogs throughout the Survey Module.

Column Properties

Column Type

Attribute column type is the only available column at this time.

Column Position

At Station

Choosing At Station implies that data for this column occurs at the station. e.g. ground type or side shots.

Between Station

Choosing Between Station implies that data for this column occurs between stations. e.g. azimuth, horizontal distance and % slope.

Edit Pick List

The Pick List Options dialog will appear and allow you to create a list of common attributes associated with this column.
