The Field Ref column is automatically calculated. Use this column to display any station equations. Double clicking on the Field Ref column will popup the Survey Information dialog, allowing you to modify station equations.
Where are station equations used?
Station equations are used whenever the stations that exist in the field differ from the stations that appear in the station column. This occurs when the traverse changes length.
How to apply a station equation?
1. Make sure that the Field Ref column is displayed in the traverse. This is done with menu Traverse | Traverse Entry Options, pressing the columns button and adding Field Ref from the Available side to the Displayed side.
2. Make a note of the number in the Station column where the Station Equation is to be applied.
