This dialog is used to calculate the cost of an alignment. It also allows you to define additional Optimizer/Costreport points used in the cost calculation.
It is accessed from the Project Explorer Panel by selecting a vertical alignment, right clicking and choosing the Cost Calculations menu.
Current Cost Points
Points Selected
Indicates the total number of points included in the cost calculation.
Cost calculation uses all report points unless the the maximum cost samples are exceeded, in which case the report points will be resampled to comply.
This edit box allows you to include additional points which will be used in cost calculations. If this edit box is left blank no additional points will be added.
Auto Search (button)
Select to search for an accurate cost spacing. If successful, a suggested spacing will be proposed.
Recalculation
Calculate costs automatically after manual design changes (check box)
Check to turn on the interactive cost calculation mode. Any modification to the current design will trigger a recalculation.
