Ground Types

The Ground Type field describes the soils or subsurface layers . Ground Type information is only required if you are using the Location Module to design a road.

Ground type information can be edited in the Ground Types Editor dialog.

Each Ground Type has associated information:

Cut Slope
Fill Slope
Cut Expansion Factor
Fill Expansion Factor

These are discussed in further detail in the notes for the Location Module.

NOTE: The ground types shipped with the system are examples only. They should be modified to suit local conditions.
