Site Prep Assignments dialog
This dialog box is accessed from the Assign by Range button found in the Home and Corridor ribbons. See Clearing and Stripping for more information.
NOTE: To delete an interval override it with another one. After modifying an interval, you must click the Add button in order for the changes to be stored.
From Stn
Enter a start station (L-line). If no station is specified, the From Stn is assumed to be the beginning of the road.
To Stn
Enter an ending station (L-line). If no station is specified, the To Stn is assumed to be the end of the road.
Add/Edit
This will assign the clearing and stripping parameters to the specified range and display in the dialog box. You can Add more than one range, if you wish, before you press OK.
Clearing
The clearing width is chosen on the left and right sides as the greater of the following two values.
Min. C/L Offset
This is a distance from the centerline (l-line) to the left clearing limit.
Min. Slope Stake Offset
This is the minimum horizontal distance from the slope stake to the clearing limit.
Overburden Removal
This area allows a stripped layer to be removed before the template is applied see Clearing and Stripping for more information.
Depth from topo
This depth is a vertical depth (positive) measured from existing ground (topo). Only the top layer defined in Sub-Horizons may be stripped; the actual depth of stripping will be less than Depth from topo if the top layer is depth is less.
The stripping slope angle is taken from the properties of the ground type in the top layer.
Limit depth from CL
If checked, the depth of stripping can be constrained by a offset from the centerline position.
Max. CL Depth
If set, this offset specifies the maximum vertical offset from centerline elevation to the stripping.
Outside/Inside Left (Right)
This area controls the outside and inside (nearest and furthest from centerline) horizontal limits. One of the following methods can be used.
Centerline - top (or bottom): offsets are measured from the centerline to the top (or bottom) of the stripping.
Slope stake - top (or bottom): offsets are measured from the slope stake position to top (or bottom) of the stripping.
Template code - top (or bottom): offsets are measured from a template point code to top (or bottom) of the stripping.
Offset
This is a offset (horizontal distance) to the stripping limit. It is measured either from centerline (l-line), slope stake or template code depending on the selection desribed above. This is a offset (horizontal distance) from the left or right slope stake to the stripping limit.
Code
This item allows you to specify the a template point code.
Ranges
This area displays all Site Prep assignments for the whole road. Highlighting one of the Site Prep assignments will allow you to modify the values in the New Range area above.
OK
This will exit the dialog box; In addition, reporting points will be inserted just before (-.5 units) and just after (+.5 units) any boundaries between fill types.
After completing this option the user is prompted to "Recalculate the road alignment? (Yes / No)". If yes response is given, all cross sections will be recalculated. If a fill type has been inserted and the alignment is not recalculated, cross section and earthwork data will be invalid.
Cancel
Ignore any changes and exit.
