ASCII coordinate data can be imported into the Terrain Module using menus File | Open and File | Insert File. The system is shipped with several default formats. It is also possible to create new formats through the Import Setup dialog.
Files generated externally can be imported into the Terrain module. The format of these files can be configured using the Import ASCII Options dialog. By setting a series of parameters, you can create an External Format Specification (EFS); thus providing an interface with a variety of external file formats.
