A fixed cross section is created by taking a snapshot of the template generated cross section at the given station(s); the Section Editor Panel allows you to modify your new fixed cross sections.
Current Section (radio button)
Select if you wish to convert the current section (seen in the Section window).
Station Range (radio button)
Select if you wish to create multiple fixed cross sections.
Whole Road (check box)
Select to include the entire alignment in the station range.
From, To (edit controls)
If Whole Road is not set, you can type in the station range manually.
Point Types (button)
Press this button to select which cross sections (in the defined range) will be converted to fixed cross sections. The Point Type Selection dialog box allows you to choose existing points (such as surveyed intersection points) and/or to create points at fixed intervals.
If set, all fixed sections created will have the Start of Range property set (all design points between this fixed section and the next fixed section will be ignored). This is the most common way to use fixed sections.
