Window Types
The Location Design module consists of 5 distinct windows as follows:
Used for display and modification of the road vertical alignment. This window also allows for display of graphical and textual information along the road profile such as mass haul, ground types, templates etc.
Used for display and modification of the road horizontal alignment.
Used for display and modification of both horizontal and vertical alignment. This window displays cross sections and report status information.
Used for reporting textual information for a range of stations.
Used to create title blocks and multiple window output sheets e.g. Plan/Profile sheets.
You can include/exclude, move, size or adjust the contents of the above windows to suit the task at hand.
Panels
Panel windows are a special type of window which can be floating, or docked to the right side of the application.  The panel windows available in the Location Module are as follows:
The Horizontal Curves Panel allows dynamic modification of the currently selected curve in the Plan Window.  This panel can be displayed in one of two modes:
Simple Mode - This allows you to work with simple circular curves, or no curves.
Advanced Mode - This allows you to work with spiral curves and simple circular curves or no curves.
The Vertical Curves Panel allows dynamic modification of the currently selected curve in the Profile Window.  This panel can be displayed in one of two modes:
Simple Mode - This allows you to work with standard vertical curve parameters
Advanced Mode - This allows you to automatically compute vertical curve parameters based on sight stopping distance.
The Culvert Editor Panel allows dynamic modification of the currently selected culvert.
The Section Editor Panel allows viewing and modification of Fixed Cross Sections.
The Alignment Properties Panel allows you to design and optimize multiple vertical alignments.
