Panel windows are used in both the Terrain and Location modules. The Terrain module uses panel windows for display of the Status, Features and Points text information. The Location module uses panels for Vertical and Horizontal Curve editing and for the Culvert editor.
This type of Window can be displayed as a docked panel or as a floating window.
Docked mode
If in docked mode, the window will be attached to the right hand side of the main window and ordinary windows (such as Plan or Profile) cannot cover it. Tabs at the bottom allow you to switch between multiple docked panel windows.
There is a button in the title bar, , to switch to floating mode.
Floating mode
If in floating mode, the window behaves the same as the ordinary windows (such as Plan or Profile): it can be moved, sized, minimized or maximized.
There is a button near the title bar, , to switch to docked mode.
