Revisions are periodically made to the software with minor enhancements and corrections to reported problems. It is possible to download these updated versions at any time from the Softree web site (www.softree.com).
To have the software automatically update when new versions become available:
From any module, in the Setup ribbon, choose Module Setup (or Location Setup) to open the Setup dialog. In the General tab, there is a Check For Updates option; choose how often you would like the program to check the softree server for a newer version.
When the program detects that a newer version is available, it will popup the Softree Product Update dialog to prompt you to download and install the new version.
To use Check for Updates:
On the Setup Ribbon, choose Check for Updates. If a newer version is available, it will display the Softree Product Update dialog as described above.
To download and install a new version manually:
1. Create or choose a directory on your hard drive to contain the installation files.
2. Using your Internet browser, access the Support-Software Downloads area of the Softree web page (www.softree.com).
3. Follow instructions on the web page to download the new version and save it in the directory created in step 1. You will need to know which product you are using. Choose the ZIP version if your security prevents download of EXE files.
Downloading can take from 2 - 30 minutes depending on your Internet connection.
4. If you chose a ZIP format, unzip the EXE file it contains.
5. Double click on the file downloaded to run the installer.
