Export Image Options
This dialog box defines settings for images created from graphics windows.
Image export - Terrain module only
In the Terrain module, an image file can be created from a window using File - Save-As, Image (screen capture). This is different from a keyboard print screen in that the resolution can be controlled and the file can be georeferenced with a world file.
For more information about defining options and exporting Image files, see Export Setup.
Avenza export - Location and Terrain modules
In the Location and Terrain modules, these options are presented when exporting a georeferenced Avenza zip file (File - Save-As, Avenza).
Image
Select Window to Output (drop list)
The selected window will be exported as an image file (either directly or in inside an Avenza zip file). At export time, only existing windows are displayed here.
Avenza files can only be created from Plan windows and the Multi-Plot window (if it contains a Plan sub-view).
Image Type (drop list)
This option is only available from Export Setup for image export; you can't change the file type after selecting a target file name for export.
Avenza zip files only use JPG format.
Resolution
Resolution format (drop list)
Choose the format that make the most sense to you. Multi-Plot uses paper units; the Plan and Profile windows user project units; not available for 3D export.
Resolution value (edit box)
Type the desired resolution here. Note that the image dimensions below are updated dynamically. Not available for 3D export.
Use Screen/Default Resolution (check box)
Set this check box if you are not sure what resolution to choose.
Number of Pixels: Width, Height (edit boxes)
Displays the size of the image that will be created. The shape the image (aspect ratio) depends on the corresponding window shape.
If you are exporting the 3D window, you can edit the image size directly. You will be warned if your 3D window image is larger than 4 megapixels (2,000x2,000 for example).
Image Size
Displays approximate size of the file to be saved to disk. Only available for bitmap image type.
