Map View Options dialog
The Map View Options dialog is accessed from the View - Options menu. This dialog allows you to control the plan display. These options can be saved for future use in the File - Save Map Screen Layout menu. The following options are available.
Scale
This is a natural scale.
For example enter 5000 for 1 meter = 5000 meters or enter 2400 for 1" = 200ft (1" = 2400").
Rotation
Plan rotation angle in degrees counter clockwise. This is useful for fitting traverses on a sheet of paper.
Section Lines
This option displays perpendicular side shots. The extrapolated distance for the last shot can be set by clicking on the "+" button and setting the Section Extension.
Creeks
This option displays creeks. The length of line and an optional direction arrow can be set by clicking on the "+" button. See Creek Column for more information about entering data in the Traverse Document.
Radial Shots
This option enables/disables the display of radial shots.
Coordinates (hardcopy)
This option enables/disables the display of coordinates on hard copy output.
North Arrow
This option enables/disables the display of a north arrow.
Labels
This option enables/disables the display of labels. Clicking on the "+" button allows to control the display of labels. See Label Control for more information.
Grid
This option  enables/disables the grid display. Clicking on the "+" button pops up the Grid Options dialog allowing you to change grid settings.
Background
This option enables/disable the display of Terrain files as backgrounds.  Clicking on the "+" button pops up the Background Display Files dialog.
Default Font Button
Changes the font used in the title block and grid display
Save as Default
Checking this box will keep these options and use them whenever you create a new Map Document.
