This dialog allows you to add, change or remove text items in a symbol. It is accessed from the Text Items Tab in the Edit Symbols dialog.
A Symbol can consist of one or more Text items.
Text
Periodic text string.
Add Button
Adds a new text item to the symbol.
Current Items
Click on the Current Text Items List box to see changes. All units are in paper space units (mm on the output paper) not project units.
Scale
Scale factor is used to enlarge or reduce the character size.
Angle (degrees)
The angle (counterclockwise in degrees).
Perp. Offset (mm)
Perpendicular offset from center line (left is negative).
Draw Transparent Check Box
Draw transparent check box allows you to control if an opaque rectangle surrounding the text will be drawn.
Delete Button
Removes the highlighted item.
Font Button
Allows you to change the font. NOTE: there are many sets of symbol fonts available for windows such as standard mapping and geological symbols. These can be very useful for generating symbols.
