This dialog allows you to add, change or remove symbol items in a linetype. It is accessed from the Symbol Items Tab in the Edit Linetypes dialog.
A Linetype can consist of one or more Symbol items. Symbol items can be created from existing symbol items.
Available Symbols Combo Box
Select from the list of existing symbols. Press the Add button to see your selection in the Current Symbols Box. See Edit Symbols dialog for more information on creating new symbols.
Scale
Enter a scale factor, which is used to enlarge or reduce the symbol size.
Perp. Offset (mm)
Enter the perpendicular offset from the centerline (line connecting the raw vertices). Left is negative.
The periodic spacing of symbols can be controlled by selecting either Spacing by Distance or Spacing by Points.
Spacing by Distance
If symbol spacing by distance is selected, symbols are spaced along the line at fixed distance intervals e.g. 5 mm.

Distance along the centerline between symbols in mm.
First Space
Distance along the centerline to the first symbol item
Spacing by Points
Select a combination of First, Middle and Last, and symbols will be placed at the line vertices as follows:

First - Symbol is included at the first point of the line.
Last - Symbol is included at the last point.
Middle - Symbol is included at points in between the first and last.
Note: Click on the Current Symbols List box to see changes.
