Stn/Offset Import Options
These options are presented when you import a Stn/Offset/Elevation ASCII file. They are also available through the Options button of Import Setup.
A station/offset file does not contain (X, Y) coordinates; the location of each point is defined by an alignment (the selected current feature in Terrain), the distance along the alignment (Station) and the perpendicular Offset from the alignment.
Field Positions (Group box)
Files must be delimited ASCII (i.e. CSV). Each line contains at least three fields separated by delimiters.
Station (edit box)
The index of the field that contains the Station value (the first field is "1")
Offset (edit box)
The index of the field that contains the Offset value )
Elevation, Dz (drop list, edit box)
Choose Elevation from the list if the file contains absolute elevations. Choose Dz if the file contains vertical offsets from the alignment. Also, choose the index of the field that contains that value
Field delimeter (edit box)
The character that separates the fields in each line.
