This dialog allows you to assign either fixed values or attributes to:
- points coordinates (X,Y,Z)
- feature names
- feature attributes
The assignment is applied to all selected features.
X,Y,Z check boxes
X,Y,Z check boxes allow to to set the desitnation field to a coordinate.
The source field can be either a value or attribute. If Value is selected, the value you enter will be be applied. For example, if you enter a value for Z, all points along the features will be assigned that value as their new elevation.
A common use for this is to assign the Z value from a shape file attribute.
Feature Name check box
Feature Name check box allows you to to set the destination field to feature name.
The source field can be either a value or attribute.
Note: if 'Value' is checked, all selected features will be given the same name.
Attribute check box
Attribute check box allows you to to set the desitnation field to an attribute.
The source field can be either a value or attribute.
Note: if 'Value' is checked, all selected features will be given the same attribute.
