CSX Cross Section Files are created by Softree's ExportCorridor plug-in for Civil 3D. Although they are primarily used for vertical alignment optimization in the Location module, these files can be imported into the Terrain Module using File | Open and File | Insert. There is also an Insert File button on the Home ribbon.
