Surface Display Options dialog
This dialog is available as a tab on the Plan Window Options dialog only when there is a Terrain Model open.
TIN
Triangle Outlines
Check this option to display the terrain model triangles.  The "+" button allows you to change the linetype.
TIN Boundary
Check this option to display a boundary line around the edge of the terrain model.  The "+" button allows you to change the linetype.
TIN Surface Values
Slope Vectors
Check this option to display slope vectors calculated from the terrain model.  The "+" button pops up the TIN Slope Vector Options dialog .
Shading
Check this option to shade the terrain model and/or display quick contours on the model.  The "+" button pops up the TIN Shading Options dialog.
Change Surface Value
The Z-value is used to compute elevations of the terrain model.  The default is elevation, but any numeric feature attribute can be used, including custom attributes. This button pops up the Attribute Options dialog, which allows you to select a different Z-value.
Triangles / Grid Approximation
If the Triangles option is selected, the all triangles in the TIN will be used for display. For large data sets this operation can be slow.
If Grid Approximation is selected, a regular grid will be used for shading. This is can speed up display time by choosing a suitably large Cell Size.
