Optimization Control
This dialog pops up after the user presses the Optimize button in the Alignment Panel.
(List)
This list summarizes what has been defined for the selected alignment in terms of:
Conflicts
Conflicts must be addressed before attempting an alignment optimization. Conflicts yield infeasibility.
Standards
Pits
Costs
Constraints
Sidecast
Direction
Result Logs
The Result Logs branch contains the logs for the last cost calculation and alignment optimization.
Constraints (Radio Buttons)
Indicates whether the selected constraint will be treated as a hard constraint or as a soft constraint. By default, all constraints are treated as hard constraints except Direction.
Hard (Radio Button)
Soft (Radio Button)
(Edit Box)
Provides information to the user depending on which item is being selected. If the message WARNING: Problem(s) encountered appears, the user should click on any of the items that is drawn with a red exclamation point.
Gen. Band (Check Box)
Generate the cross sections for the selected alignment.
Check (Check Box)
Check whether all the geometric constraints defined by the user are compatible.
This alignment does not minimize earthworks or costs; it is not Optimal.
Optimal Profile (Check Box)
Generates, if possible, the best profile in terms of cost.
Pre-Process (Check Box)
Force the recalculation of the cross sections.
Proceed (Button)
Start the calculation, depending on what has been selected.
