This dialog allows you to create and modify projections. It is accessed from the Projection Setup Dialog.
Input CoordSys in WKT format (edit box)
Allows you to specify the coordinate system using WKT (Well Known Text) format. If your current projection is well defined, this field will be populated. The most common ways to update this field are to paste text from another source or to use the From EPSG button. It is possible. however, to create a custom projection by editing this text.
From EPSG (Button)
Allows you to specify an EPSG number. This is the most common way to specify a projection that is not found in the Projection Setup Dialog drop down lists. EPSG numbers can be found on the internet.
A valid EPSG will update the WKT on the left.
From/To File (Buttons)
Feature not implemented yet.
To get a projection from a file currently, you must copy text from a file (PRJ or similar), using a text editor such as Notepad, and paste it into the WKT edit box (above).
Similarly, to update a file, you must copy from the WKT edit box (above) and paste into the file.
