This dialog is accessed from Cable Analysis ribbon.
Setup options for a desired array of D-Lines (cable yarding roads) then press OK to enter D-Lines Explore mode (indicated with a cursor change). Click anywhere in the Plan window, over your terrain surface, and you will be presented with a graphic display of the D-Line array and an optional yardable area polygon. To create these D-Line features, press the Accept button in the Cable Analysis ribbon.
Press this button to open D-Line Calculation Options dialog where you can choose which calculation you want to run. The description of the chosen Calculation is shown above this button.
Quadrants for inclusion (Check boxes)
Select where you would like to create D-Lines.
Length (Edit box)
Define the maximum length for each of the D-Lines.
Number of radial lines (Edit box)
Choose how many D-Lines you would like to create (the actual number is reduced if you do not select all Quadrants).
Tailhold (group of controls)
This is where you define how the tail hold is defined and displayed.
Auto position (Check box and Button)
Set this check box to let the software choose the tail hold position that provides clearance for the greatest distance from the tower; cannot exceed Length defined above. Clear this check box to always set the tail hold at the end of the defined Length.
