We will be speaking about the use of optimization technology in forestry road planning as a way of taking greater advantage of LiDAR data. Optimizing the alignment of a road using accurate topographical data allows engineers to determine the best road location based on cost. Optimization software also saves engineering time both in the office and in the field.
