The TIN model surface properties such as surface area, surface slope (slope of steepest decent), surface slope direction.of a model can be calculated.
Calculating Surface Properties
Surface properties are calculated inside a polygon boundary. The calculation of volumes is done using menu Edit - Calculate Terrain Model. The display and reporting of surface properties is done by selecting the boundary feature(s) and displaying the various surface properties in the Status Window.
The following steps are required to calculate and report surface properties:
1. Create a feature with the surface boundary property turned on.
