IOP files contain the settings for all import and export file formats. The list of file types available when using the File - Insert File menu are read from the current IOP file. When you first start Terrain, the Normal.IOP file is loaded by default. You can also load or save to other IOP files.
It is possible to change settings or add and remove new file formats through the Import Setup dialog or Export Setup dialog. The system will prompt you to save any changes made to the IOP file when you exit the Terrain module.
