Interpolate Sections dialog
This dialog box is used to generate cross sections perpendicular to a centerline (selected feature). The Properties (Elevation, Draped etc.) of the new cross sections are set to those of the centerline feature.
Section width
Left, Right
Distance from centerline to the left and right ends of the section. It is possible to set either to 0.0.
Section Intervals:
Fixed Intervals
If selected then sections will be created at a user spacing.
Spacing
If Fixed Intervals is selected, enter the spacing between cross sections.
Existing points
If Existing Points is selected, sections are created at the bisector angle between the tangents between existing points.
Feature naming:
The new sections are named based on the stationing of the centerline feature. The format (eg. 12+200.0) is controlled in the Module | Setup | General Tab.
Prefix
Enter a prefix (eg. "SECT") to precede the stationing in the feature name. The can be useful for selecting features by name. This field can be left blank.
Start Station
Enter the start station for the centerline feature.
