A check mark beside the Toolbar item indicates the Toolbar is active. If you wish to have a slightly larger viewing area of the work screen, removing the check mark (mouse click or <enter>) removes the Toolbar. You can increase the viewing area further by also removing the Status Bar.

Points Tools - Contains commonly used commands for modifying point properties.
Select Tools - Contains commonly used commands for selecting features.
Navigation Tools - Contains commands for navigating the current point.
TIN Tools - Contains commonly used commands for working with TIN models.
Window Tools - Contains commonly used commands for changing the current window.
