The Double, Halve, Zoom In and End Zoom options of View - Multi-Plot Zoom/Pan are available directly using the Hand Lens Toolbar Buttons containing respectively these signs:

TIP: The Zoom in function (and open hand lens toolbar button) allows you to click and drag a box around the detail you want to magnify. You control scaling and centering at the same time and can choose any magnification factor. Otherwise you end up having to center your detail using the scroll bars each time you double (a 2x zoom in) and doubling restricts you to 2x increments where "x" is a whole number. At any time you can use the End Zoom to quickly return to the entire view and perhaps do another zoom in.
