Attributes Setup dialog
This dialog is one of the tabs on the Terrain Setup dialog.  It allows you to define new attribute definitions and to modify existing attributes.  For more information, see Attributes.
Tables
This section lists all available categories of attributes. When you highlight one of the categories from the list, all the attributes in that category get listed in the area below, where they may be edited.
Name
Lists the names of all the categories of attributes.
Description
Provides a more detailed description of the attribute categories.
Applies to
All attributes in a category must be the same type.  The types available are Point, Feature, and File.
# in File
Lists the number of occurrences of the attribute in the file.
New
Allows you to create a new attribute category.
Edit
Allows you to modify the attribute category name and description.
Delete
Permanently removes the attribute category from the list.  This will be grayed out for any read-only attributes.
Properties
This section lists all the attributes belonging to the currently selected attribute category.  Highlight one of the attributes to edit it.
Name
Lists the names of the attributes in the currently selected category.
Type
Lists the type of each attribute in the currently selected category.  Available types include:
Decimals
Applies to numeric types only.  This is the number of places after the decimal.
New
Allows you to create a new attribute definition for the currently selected category. This button will be greyed out if the selected category is read-only.
Edit
Allows you to modify the currently selected attribute definition.
Delete
Permanently removes the currently selected attribute definition.
Files
Save
This will prompt you for a file path and name to write the current set of attributes to that ATR file.
Open
This will prompt you for a file path and name to replace the current set of attributes with the attributes from that file.
Merge
This will load attributes from an external ATR file and not overwrite any that have the same description.  Only attributes having a description that is not in the current attribute list will be added.
