Symbol Item Editor dialog
To create a new line segment:
1. Select the Add Radio Button, if it is not already selected.
2. Move the cursor to the position you want to begin the line segment.
3. Left click the mouse button (the line segment should now "rubber band" as you move the mouse).
4. Keeping the left button down, move the mouse to the new segment ending point.
5. Release the mouse button.
To modify an existing line segment:
1. Select the Edit Radio Button, if its not already selected.
2. Move the cursor to one of the ends of the existing line segment.
3. Left click the mouse button.
4. Keeping the left button down, move the mouse to the new segment ending point.
5. Release the mouse.
Symbol Points
Lists the current number of points in the symbol. The maximum number of points making up a symbol is 20.
Reset Button
This will delete all line segments.
Pointer Position
Provides a coordinate readout of the current mouse position on the grid.
Zoom
Allows magnification of the symbol item for editing purposes.
Snap to Grid
If selected, points will be aligned to the nearest grid node.
Add Radio Button
If selected, each click and drag will create a line segment. See above for procedure.
Edit Radio Button
If selected, line segments will be edited. Click on the existing point and with the left key depressed move it to a new point. See above for procedure.
Delete Radio Button
If selected, a mouse click on the end of an existing line segment will delete it.
Redraw
If pressed, the symbol item will be redrawn.
