Template Codes dialog
This dialog is accessible from the Codes button on the Template Editor dialog . It is also available from the Plan and Profile windows options dialog boxes by pressing the "+" button opposite the Template Codes check box.
Template point codes can be displayed or reported in the graphics (Plan, Profile, Section) and text (Data, Status) Windows. This dialog allows you to to define which template codes to display and how to display them.
Some default template point codes are shown below (for stock Roadway, Ditch and Slopes components).
Point Codes from a Default Template
If you are creating a customized template it is possible to define your own point codes for such things as edge of sidewalk, retaining wall etc.
Display/Reporting
Window (list box)
Select the window where you wish to display point codes. Point codes already selected for display will appear in the Code list.
Note the the Data/Status "window" actually includes:

the Status area under the Section window

the optional Template Parameters sub-windows under the Profile window
Code (list box)
Shows the codes selected for display in the currently selected Window (see the Add button).
These items are saved with your template table.
Properties (to the right of the codes list)
Select one or more of the items in the Codes list to change display properties. The display properties are saved with your template table.
Plan or Profile Window
These windows have line type properties (point codes are connected by linear features).
Section Window
NOTE: the (* - *) selection indicates templates points which have no code.
It is possible to control the line-type, symbol and color for individual points and legs in the section window. To do this you must clear the Use default color, linetype and symbol check box in the Labels section below.
Data/Status windows
Data/Status windows are text only and have no formatting properties.
After Adding point codes to the Data/Status windows, a Template Codes group will appear in the available items for:
You will be able to display a choice of the following for each point code:
H-Offset - horizontal offset from centerline
V-Offset - vertical offset from centerline
X,Y,Elev - coordinates
Add (button)
Allows you to add codes for display in the currently selected Window. You will have to recalculate the road alignment before the code will be visible in other windows.
Delete (button)
Allows you to remove selected codes from the currently selected Window.
Rename Point Code (button)
You may rename a point code by pressing this button. This will update all templates in the table.
Note that stock Roadway, Ditches, and Slopes point codes cannot be changed.
