Autocad Translations File
This file is where all available linetype and symbol definitions are stored.  It also contains definitions of Autocad linetypes and symbols, and contains a table of matches between Terrain linetypes and symbols and Autocad linetypes and symbols.
This file is used during Autocad file exports as a way of controlling how the graphical elements are interpreted.  For example, during an export from Terrain, the Softree linetype exported would be looked up in the Translation Table to see if there was a matching Autocad linetype defined.  If that entry existed in the table, then the exporting function would draw the resulting entity in Autocad using the previously defined Autocad linetype.   If the entry does not exist in the table, then the exporting function would auto-generate an Autocad linetype that best approximates the Softree linetype.
If you don't like the look of the linetypes that are being auto-generated during export, you have the option of loading the linetype you wish to use and creating an entry in the lookup table.  This is also true for symbols.
Translations during import are not currently supported.
