The D-line Data window displays tabular results of calculations.
The Cable Analysis Data window always displays the station at which the calculation is performed. It is measured as a accumulated horizontal distance (in project units) from the start of the feature. Underneath the station parameter you can choose using the D-line Data Options dialog any of the following values:
Load
The calculated payload at each point. It does not include the carriage weight. The units in which the load is reported can be changed in the D-line Calculation Options dialog.
Skyline Length
The actual length of skyline (measured in project units) from head spar to tail spar determined at each calculation point. (This may be the sum of the lengths of the mainline and haulback for a Highlead system or part of the length of the haulback for a running skyline.)
Note that the Skyline Length is directly related to the Equivalent Midspan Deflection which may be more easily interpreted.
%Deflection
The equivalent mid span deflection calculated at each point. This value is the deflection you would see if you moved a large load to midspan without changing skyline (or equivalent) length.
Note that the equivalent mid span deflection is a measure of skyline length (independent of span).
SkylineHS T
The tension in the skyline measured between the carriage and the head spar. The tension between the carriage and the headspar will be different than the tension between the carriage and the tail spar when the carriage is clamped. The units reported can be changed by changing the Tension units in the Edit Equipment dialog.
Skyline TS T
The tension in the skyline measured between the carriage and the tail spar. The tension between the carriage and the headspar will be different than the tension between the carriage and the tail spar when the carriage is clamped. The units reported can be changed by changing the Tension units in the Edit Equipment dialog.
Mainline T
The tension in the mainline. The units reported can be changed by changing the Tension units in the Edit Equipment dialog.
HaulBack T
The tension in the haulback. The units reported can be changed by changing the Tension units in the Edit Equipment dialog.
Car Clear
The distance measured in project units between the ground and the point at which the carriage is suspended from the cable.
Car Elev
The elevation measured in project units of the point at which the carriage is suspended from the cable.
