This course will be of interest to
professionals involved in surveying, mapping and terrain modeling.
Emphasis will be placed on applying Terrain Tools® Version 5 to solve a
variety of surveying, mapping and terrain modeling problems. Topics
include, survey notes entry, map production, georeferencing, drafting,
terrain modeling, contouring, profiles, grading, earthworks, and creation

Emphasis will be placed on applying the new features of RoadEng Version
5 to solve engineering problems. Topics include, survey notes entry,

software such as AutoCAD® and ArcView®, contouring, profiles, templates,
horizontal and vertical alignment, culvert design, mass balancing and
creation of plan/profile sheets. Cost $799.

This presentation will demonstrate creating a TIN model. Breaklines, 2D/3D
points, triangle control, contouring, 3D displays and volumes.

This presentation will demonstrate how to work with profiles in the
Terrain module. Topics include draping features, projected and
intersected features, drafting in the profile window.

This presentation will demonstrate how to create Plan/Profile sheets
including multiple pages. Cost: $100CDN.
Location Design Techniques I
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate reporting points, horizontal and

Location Design Techniques II
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate templates, culverts, and balancing
