Surveying, Mapping and Terrain Modelling (1 day)

This course will be of interest to professionals involved in surveying, mapping and terrain modeling. Emphasis will be placed on applying Terrain Tools® Version 5 to solve a variety of surveying, mapping and terrain modeling problems. Topics include, survey notes entry, map production, georeferencing, drafting, terrain modeling, contouring, profiles, grading, earthworks, and creation of plan/profile sheets. Cost: $250.

RoadEng - Forest Engineer (3 days)
This course will cover topics outlined in the Surveying, Mapping and Terrain Modelling course as well as cable logging and low volume road design. Emphasis will be placed on applying RoadEng Version 5 to solve engineering problems. Cost: $799.

This course will be of interest to experienced road designers.  Emphasis will be placed on applying the new features of RoadEng Version 5 to solve engineering problems. Topics include, survey notes entry, map production, georeferencing, drafting , interfacing to external software such as AutoCAD® and ArcView®, contouring, profiles, templates, horizontal and vertical alignment, culvert design, mass balancing and creation of plan/profile sheets. Cost $799.

Web Based Training Web based training is a live on-line presentation with visual display over the Internet and voice narration using a telephone connection. Pre-packaged courses are available (see below).  Custom courses using your own data to solve a specific problem are also available.  

Importing Data 
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate how to import from a variety of sources including GIS, GPS, TRIM, data collectors and total stations.  Cost:  $100CDN .

Terrain Modeling 
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate creating a TIN model. Breaklines, 2D/3D points, triangle control,  contouring, 3D displays and volumes.  Cost:  $100CDN .

Terrain Profiles 
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate how to work with profiles in the Terrain module.  Topics include draping features, projected and intersected features,  drafting in the profile window.  Cost:  $100CDN.

Location Multi-Plot Sheet 
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate how to create Plan/Profile sheets including multiple pages. Cost:  $100CDN.

Location Design Techniques I 
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate reporting points, horizontal and vertical alignments and curve design. Cost:  $100CDN.

Location Design Techniques II
(60 minutes)
This presentation will demonstrate templates, culverts, and balancing using mass haul.  Cost:  $100CDN.
